Firm Obtains Important Victory from Federal Court in Strip-Search Case

dreamstimeextrasmall_147699711-200x300We are pleased—and proud—to report on a terrific ruling we received recently in one of our cases! In D.H. v. Clayton County School District, we represent D.H., a student in Atlanta, Georgia. When he was 12 years old, he was strip searched by an assistant principal at his school.

Please click on the U.S. District Court’s order here. In this order, the Court not only holds that the strip search of our client was unconstitutional, but also that the law was clearly established, such that the strip-searching official is not entitled to immunity. We intend to try the issue of damages next year.

We have substantial experience litigating strip search cases and other issues concerning juvenile justice. If you want to find out more about this case or to discuss a possible new matter, please contact Adam Wolf at [email protected] or (415) 766-3545.
