Stem Cell Therapies Investigation
Peiffer Wolf and The Lyon Firm recently filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of patients who were allegedly deceived by health organizations’ marketing of unapproved Stem Cell therapies.

Stem Cell Therapies | Understanding the Investigation
According to Harvard Stem Cell Institute, the only Stem Cell-based treatment that is currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a blood transfusion used to treat patients with cancers and disorders that affect the blood and immune system.
Other clinical trials are still in the testing phase and are not yet approved for widespread public use. However, some health groups have allegedly decided to market unproven treatments as if they were FDA approved.
Some health groups have begun to market costly and unproven Stem Cell injections as if they were FDA approved. Our clients were allegedly told these costly injections could “rebuild joint tissue” and “reverse chronic disease.”
In reality, the FDA has approved Stem Cell use only for a narrow set of blood disorders, not for osteoarthritis or joint pain. For patients, often seniors on fixed incomes, these false promises came at a staggering financial and emotional cost.
Peiffer Wolf has already filed a lawsuit on behalf of Joseph Health’s patients for alleged deceptive advertising of stem cell therapies as a “miraculous cure-all” and the resulting financial exploitation of the elderly. We have also secured over $500 million in damages for our Consumer Protection and Privacy clients, and we remain committed to fighting on their behalf.

Typically, we represent clients on contingency fee agreements. If we take your case under a contingency fee arrangement, you won’t owe our firm any legal fees unless we are able to recover money for you.
Our contingency fee agreements are usually based on a percentage of the amount we recover for our clients. The contingency fee amount is determined by the type of case, our estimate of how long it will take to resolve your case, and our estimate of the litigation costs we will advance in your case. Each engagement agreement includes the details of the fee arrangement. Questions about our fee agreements are welcomed and encouraged.
In most litigation matters, it is extremely difficult – practically impossible – to predict how long it will take to resolve a particular case. Every case is different, and we will do our best to provide you with an estimate based on your case and our experience with similar cases. Moreover, we will do our best to keep you updated and manage expectations along the way.
